Long blue hair in those early days
Didn’t stop them taking it to the top
Stuck in Rio Grande Mud
Until dear Francine came along
Then, they hit the billboard with their tush
And the ten dollar man song
Grounded at the airport as the 70s got in the way
But, it wasn’t to be profound
It gave him time to grow his beard
And put on a more modern sound
Well, illness and hips finally got in his way
As the monitor came to a full stop
His final words were give Elwood the bottom
